TIDAL is finally giving the recognition that songwriters, producers and engineers have been demanding for their musical contributions. They’re doing this by giving behind-the-scenes creatives individual profile pages on the streaming platform.

TIDAL set up new interactive credits pages where users can see all contributors from background singers and lyricists to mixing engineers and session musicians.

On an Artist Page, users can tap the roles under the artist’s name or scroll down to get a look at the artist’s “enhanced credits” section. Users can then click on a specific role to display only the songs the artist has contributed towards as a songwriter, producer, composer or other capacity, according to Billboard. “You can even filter the list further by artist to listen to, say, every Ariana Grande song Pharrell has produced,” as stated by Billboard.

“This is a milestone for TIDAL which, at the heart of the platform, is a space for music lovers to connect with their favorite artists in unique ways,” said TIDAL senior vp, culture & content Tony Gervino. “As a music streaming service and culture hub, it is important to acknowledge that music is a team sport — it takes a talented crew of sound engineers, lyricists, and band members to make a song stick. We recognize the challenges ahead in creating a thorough and extensive catalogue, but we are excited to take this important step.”
