Halle Bailey, 1/2 of Beyonce’s Parkwood Entertainment’s own, Chloe x Halle, has landed her self a major spot in Disney’s world as everyone’s favorite mermaid.

Yes, that’s correct! Halle Bailey will be depicting Ariel in Disney’s live-action remake of The Little Mermaid.

Halle will also be joined by other cast members including  Melissa McCarthy, Jacob Tremblay, and Awkwafina. The Little Mermaid would be considered a major breakout role for Halle as her only screen credit is a supporting character on Freeform’s Grown-ish.

The Chloe x Halle expressed their excitement for the new opportunity on twitter.
