Earlier this month, Forbes named Rihanna as the music industry’s wealthiest woman. As a result of her success, Barbados wants to honor her.

“Anybody who could go from Rihanna’s humble beginnings to become ‘the most successful woman entertainer’ in the entire globe, in my view deserves to be recognized in her life as a living legend of Barbados as well,” Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley said in a statement.

The plans to make the museum come to lodge are already in the works. Motley revealed that conversations between Rihanna’s brother, who is her manager, and the Barbados government are underway.

There is currently a “Rihanna Experience” at the Museum of Science in Boston, which features a light show and plays some of her greatest hits in a Planetarium. However, the museum that Barbados want to honor RiRi with would be the first museum that’s solely dedicated to her.

No information on on when the museum would be constructed or estimated time of opening. More updates to come!
