While the 2019 Billboard Music Awards was full of surprises, Drake came and definitely conquered.

While being nominated for 17 awards this year, the ‘Scorpion’ rapper picked up some of the nights biggest awards, including Top Artist. Winning 12 awards last night, the Canadian-born entertainer broke Taylor Swift‘s record of having the most awards, with his current 27 wins.

Drake also thanked his mom for driving him to various activities throughout his youth, including ‘Degrassi’. “No matter how long it took me to figure out what I wanted to do, you were always there to give me a ride, and now we’re on one hell of ride.”
