Jay-Z’s Foundation To Take Students On HBCU Tour
by Staff Editor
Jay-Z’s The Shawn Carter Foundation has partnered with Toyota on its 12th annual HBCU college tour.
The week-long journey will take prospective students to 11 historically black colleges and universities from Washington D.C. to Atlanta. Students will also meet with admissions counselors and former Shawn Carter Foundations scholars.
Carter and his wife, Beyoncé, have been strong advocates for HBCU’s. The singer, whose Netflix original documentary HOMECOMING honors the culture of HBCU’s, has given scholarships to various students from HBCU’s around the country.
