A masked robber attempted to enter Bun B’s Houston home.

At about 5:45 pm, a man with a mask on knocked on Bun B’s house to which his wife, Queenie responded by opening the door, thinking it was some kind of delivery. The assailant, who had a gun in his hand, demanded valuables. Queenie offered her Audi which was parked in the garage.

TMZ reports, when Bun B heard the altercation downstairs, he grabbed his gun and confronted the intruder as he was trying to enter the car to steal it. A shootout commenced between the two and the intruder ran away, leaving his gun behind. TMZ reports that a few hours later, the masked man showed up at a Houston-area hospital with a gunshot injury to his shoulder where he was treated and then arrested for 2 counts of aggravated robbery with a weapon and one count burglary.

It’s incidents like this that legitimize the wave of Americans purchasing firearms like pistols for the purpose of self defense in the home to protect their families in the event of home invasions. Not only are families purchasing pistols to keep themselves safe, but they are also looking at other ways to keep their homes safe. Things like installing CCTV, maybe even getting ballistic glass to help keep your windows secure (if this is something that interests you then check out https://www.riotglass.com/level-ballistic-glass-need/). So as you can see, there are plenty of options that you can look at to keep yourself safe in your home. You might never think that something like this could ever happen to you, but it’s always a good idea to be prepared in case something does happen. Don’t forget things like this always happen when you least expect it, so being prepared is always the right option.
