Fuse Media Files For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection
by Staff Editor
Fuse Media has announced that it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The media company chose to begin a pre-packaged Chapter 11 restructuring.
The Jennifer Lopez-owned company has been through a rocky few months after it’s flagship cable network was dropped from major television providers. This protection restructuring will help Fuse lower their debt by $200 million while lowering interest expenses.
Before being acquired by Madison Square Garden Co. for $226 million, Fuse was an English-language entertainment network aimed at Latinos. SíTV was then rebranded to NUVOtv in 2011, then forming a partnership with Lopez’s Nuyorican Productions.
