City Girls have been going up the charts with their hit single, “Act Up”. The song, which was featured on the duo’s debut album ‘Girl Code’ has become the theme song of the song for most, but did you know Lil Yachty wrote it?

Yachty, who is also signed to Quality Control, recently revealed that he penned almost the entire song.

“When it came out, people was so shocked and they didn’t believe it,” says the ‘Lil Boat 2’ rapper. “I wrote the whole song, except for J.T.’s last verse. But everything that everyone is singing, I wrote the whole thing.”

Alongside J.T., Yachty is credited as a writer for the song and producer EarlThePearll. “Act Up” is currently in its sixth week on the Billboard Hot 100 charts with their other single, “Twerk” featuring Cardi B.
