Meek Mill, Van Jones and a Pa. State Representative have announced and introduced an upcoming probation reform bill today.

Earlier today, Mill, joined with Sixers owner Michael Rubin and CNN’s Van Jones joined Pa.’s House Democratic Whip Jordan Harris on introducing his latest proposed prison reform bill. House Bill 1925 is designed to keep less people on probation, while helping to shorten the time for those still on. The bill will also establish a system that rewards good behavior among those on probation.

In January, Mill, Jones, and Rubin created the Reform Alliance, lobbying for change to state probation and parole laws. Meek states how he wants to help change the stigma for others on parole, “I’ve lost too much time away from my son, my family, my friends and fans in Philly because of outdated probation laws, so I want to make sure people don’t have go through what I did.”
