According to Deadline, Dave East will be adding an acting gig to his resume.

Dave East is set to star in Hulu’s upcoming series “Wu-Tang: An American Saga”, portraying the character Shotgun. The character, who is based on Wu-Tang Clan’s Method Man, is a popular MC from Staten Island, working a concession stand at the Statue of Liberty.

Wu-Tang: An American Saga will be a 10-part drama that will tell the story of the rap group’s early years in New York City, set in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Both RZA and Method Man will stand as executive producers for the project with Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, GZA, and the estate of Ol’ Dirty Bastard serving as the consulting producers.
