The attorney involved in R. Kelly’s 2008 child pornography case is now accusing the R&B singer for tampering, witness intimidation, physical threats and more.

Michael Avenatti tweeted on Sunday about the allegations saying, “We have now uncovered how R Kelly was able to gain his acquittal in 2008: We have discovered substantial evidence that he and certain enablers engaged in systematic witness intimidation, evidence tampering, physical threats, and payments to witnesses. They rigged the trial.”

Avenatti, known for representing Stormy Daniels in her recent lawsuits against Donald Trump, also revealed that someone had sent him a 45-minute VHS tape of Kelly having sex with another girl last Thursday (Feb. 14). Newsweek reported on Feb. 16 that Avenatti’s offices have now “become aware of the existence of a third tape, that allegedly shows further acts of sexual abuse of an underage girl by R Kelly.”

Since then, the new tape has been handed over to Cook County prosecutors, with several new women coming forward with claims of being victims of the singer.

Stay tuned as this develops…
