Travis Scott Presented With Key To Houston; Mayor Announces Plans To Rebuild Astroworld Amusement Park

Travis Scott is on the second leg of his “Astroworld” Tour to his hometown Houston, Texas. And on Wednesday (Feb 13), Houston showed their appreciation.

Mayor, Sylvester Turner, came to the stage right before the end of the show to present Scott with a key to the city in honor of his musically successful year and his for the contributions he made I. Houston. “We owe so much to this guy for keeping Houston on the map,” said Turner.

The Mayor went on to announce some good news, saying that Scott’s dreams of bringing back the original Astroworld would soon be a reality.

“With ‘Astroworld’ man, and those of us that remember Astroworld, and because of him, we’re gonna bring another amusement theme park back to the city,” Turner declared. “This city loves you,” and Houston fans cheered in agreement.

Scott was invisioning plans of reviving his childhood theme park on Astroworld opening track, “Stargazing.” “’99 took AstroWorld, it had to relocate/ Told the dogs I’d bring it back, it was a seal of faith,” Scott rapped. So you know he was more that pleased to here that a memory from his childhood is coming back. This new amusement park will hopefully bring more visitors to Houston and anyone planning on visiting the city can learn more about what attractions are already open.
