The New Orleans rapper, who has been jailed since 2017, has been released on a $3 Million bond, according to Caddo Correctional Center and KTBS, a local news station in Shreveport, LA.

The “Shake Ya Ass” rapper was serving time after being charged for first degree rape in a case from 2016, turning himself in to Shreveport police in 2017. This isn’t the NOLA-born rapper’s first run in with the law, as he served time for a sexual battery and extortion charge from 2003-2010.

Michael Lawrence Tyler, aka Mystikal rose to fame in the mid 90s. His 2000 album, ‘Let’s Get Ready’ sold over one million copies. He was also nominated for two Grammy awards in 2003.
