The biggest debate in Hollywood right now is whether Gucci, the designer brand, should be canceled after releasing a “Balaclava” Knitted Sweater that resembled Black Face. A lot of celebrities are saying yes, however a lot of celebrities, including Floyd Mayweather are saying no.
In response to Mayweather’s decision to not boycott the brand, T.I. decides to drop a diss track dedicated to the boxer, called “Fuck Nigga.”
“Can feed some countries out in Africa/ you just go buy a lamb/ a Bugatti or something else that depreciate when you drive it off the lot and holler fuck it/ but fuck it, I change the subject,” T.I. raps.
What pissed T.I. was Floyd’s shopping spree at the Gucci store out in Beverly Hills on Monday (Feb. 11). Just outside the store, TMZ ran into Mayweather, who told them that he doesn’t care about the Gucci boycott .
“I’m not a follower,” he told TMZ. “You know when everybody else they say, ‘Everybody gonna boycott?’ I say guess what, this boy gonna get on a yacht and live life.”
He then added, “We all know racism still exists but that’s not gonna stop my drive. I’ve got friends from all walks of life and to me of course, black lives matter first … but my thing is this, I’m gonna continue to go out there live life and be happy.”
Gucci did issue and apology soon after controversy truck. That apology may be enough for maybe even unnecessary for people like Floyd, but it’s not sitting well with others. Keep it locked in right here for more updates!
