To begin what may be a major comeback Avril Lavigne revealed the cover art for her third single from her upcoming Head Above Water album. The most anticipated song titled “Dumb Blonde” features the one and only Nicki Minaj.

The hype of the album began with Lavigne tweeting the following:

“‘I am a fucking cherry bomb’ #DumbBlonde ft. @NICKIMINAJ. Tomorrow,” the tweet reads.”

Although many believe Lavigne and Minaj promote two different types of genres Minaj is apparently a longtime Avril fan, and tweeted: “ I used to drive to my job @ Red Lobster playing this woman’s album for an hour straight everyday for months. Crying to “I’m with you”, blasting “complicated” “things I’ll never say” “nobody’s fool” “sk8er boi”. omg. #DumbBlonde tmrw. This woman is so unbelievably talented.”

The track will be featured on Lavigne’s sixth studio album, Head Above Water, due for release this Friday, February 15 on BMG Records.
