Missy Elliott becomes first female hip-hop artist inducted into Songwriters Hall of Fame

The Songwriters Hall of Fame has recognized the achievements of the people who have made great music. With that being said, CBS This Morning: Saturday has revealed the six artists of the 2019 class. One of them is Missy Elliott, which will make her the first female hip-hop artist to be inducted.
Missy Elliott’s will be to the third rapper to be inducted in the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The Grammy-winning female rapper is known for has writing smash hits for other artist like Beyoncé, Janet Jackson and Mary J. Blige, in addition to having her own influential solo career. Congrats Missy!
