Just days before his debut album was set to drop, Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was reportedly taken into custody by federal authorities late Sunday night.

According to reports, the rapper was charged under RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act), a law created to prosecute those involved in “organized crime.”

DJ Akademiks breaks the news via twitter to confirm that at least two of his affiliates” (Shotty and Crippy) “have also been taken under custody.”

Now, this isn’t 6ix9ine’s first encounter with the law. Earlier this year, he pled guilty to three felony counts. In 2015, he took part in “Use of a Child in Sexual Performance,” which resulted in a four years probation sentence.

Back in July he was also taken into custody for allegedly choking a 16 year old (in January) at the Galleria Mall in New York City.

There’s no further information regarding the Sunday arrest at this time.
