Candace Owens has issued an apology to Kanye West for controversy over Blexit design.

“I woke up with the realization that I need to clear my name on this,” Owens tweeted before she deleted it.

Candace Owens, a conservative commentator, and Trump supporter told FOX News in an interview that Blexit is the “Black exit from the Democratic Party. It’s the Black exit from permanent victimhood, the Black exit from the false idea that we are somehow separate from the rest of America. Kanye saw my original design and said, ‘I can do it better.’ It certainly was. He redesigned the logo with vibrant colors inspired by his trip to Uganda.”

On Tuesday, Kanye West explained on Twitter that he introduced Owens to the person who created the logo for Blexit but the person did not what their name attached to it, therefore, they used Kanye West’s name instead.

Kanye also stated that he felt used and announced that he will focus less on politics and more focus on being creative.

Yesterday, Owens posted “808s and Heartbreak”, a blog post issuing an apology to Kanye West. In her blog post she writes:

“If I had to imagine what it would feel like to have a bullet pierce my heart, it would be exactly like the moment I learned Kanye told the world he felt I had used him. I wouldn’t wish the way I felt last night upon my worst enemy. I never once said that Kanye designed the t-shirts for BLEXIT. This is a lie that seems to have made its way around the world; a lie I would like to again correct for the record.”

Owens continued, “Kanye was completely right to feel used in that regard and as I have done personally, I would like to publicly apologize to him for any undue stress or pain the effort to correct that rumor has caused him, his business relationships, or his family. He simply never designed them.”
