Following the release of his new album, Gangland Landlord, over the weekend, Sacramento-bred rapper, Mozzy, hosted the Provide For Your People giveback event at Fourth Avenue Park in Sacramento, CA.

Mozzy gifted 400 members of the community with haircut vouchers, backpacks, school supplies, shoes, gift certificates and more. He also repaved the basketball court. The giveback event included activities such as games, face painting and jump houses along with a variety of food vendors.

The charity event was sponsored by music distribution company, EMPIRE, in partnership with Project Optimism Inc, a nonprofit that offers a mentorship program that connects college students and recent college graduates with secondary school students.

Supporting at-risk youth in his hometown is vital to Mozzy, who shares, “Giving back to the community that helped raise me is mandatory. It’s only natural for me to use my platform to provide opportunities and resources to those that need and deserve it.”
