Artist: J Hus

Track: Dark Vader

Hot Take: UK artist J Hus is back with his first project of 2018 scooping up his fair share of awards along the way. Flexing his versatility and flow on the project’s opener ‘Dark Vader’, check out the afrobeat track and let us know what you think of the much-buzzed-about rapper.

Artist: Phoelix

Track: Sole

Hot Take: In this modern landscape, it takes a true artist to set their stake from the background and Phoelix does just that. Wearing many hats: vocalist, rapper, producer, engineer, instrumentalist and more, the man behind the machine has helped craft the sounds of the Midwest’s brightest like Noname, Smino and Saba.

Artist: Honey C

Track: Veteran

Hot Take: You may remember Honey C as ‘Honey Cocaine’, it’s been 3 years since we’ve heard from her and she returns with some of her most solid work to date.  The Tyga affiliate dropped her new album ‘Wildfire’ last month and reaffirms her status and skill on tracks like ‘Veteran’.

Artist: Reese LaFlare

Track: Big Mad (ft. Ty Dolla $ign & Vory)

Hot Take: The Atlanta native dropped his eponymous debut album last month with help from a host of his industry friends like Pusha T, Young Thug and more. On ‘Big Mad’ he’s joined by Ty Dolla$ign who drops a verse alongside Vory on the bass bunking track.
