Suge Knight faces 28 year’s hatter  pleaded no contest to the charge of voluntary manslaughter for the killing of Terry Carter, who was ran over by Knight in 2015, according to The Associated Press.

The plea deal given to Knight will only make him serve 22 years in prison, but there was an additional 6 years added on because of the three-strikes law. Knight will be formally sentenced on October 4.

The Suge Knight trial has been setback for the last few years because of him changing his legal team multiple times. Two of Knight’s former attorneys—Thaddeus Culpepper and Matthew Fletcher—were indicted for conspiracy to commit bribery earlier this year. Knight had multiple health issues and was indicted for threatening the director of Straight Outta Compton, F. Gary Gray, which caused setbacks as well.
