6ix9ine Denied Bail After Being Arrested For Allegedly Choking A 16-Year-Old Boy

Controversial rapper Tekashi69 was denied bail after being arrested by the NYPD due to an outstanding warrant from Texas.  

The 22-year-old rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly choking a 16-year-old boy at Houston’s Galleria Mall back in January.

6ix9ine admitted during his Thursday hearing that it “wasn’t very responsible” to tour Europe while dodging an arrest warrant, according to The BlastHernandez was reportedly detained by police at JFK Airport as he returned from his tour.

During the hearing, the rapper pleaded with the judge adding that he needs to support his mother and other family members. The judge, however, felt as though Tekashi wasn’t taking the case seriously and denied his bail request.

He is currently in custody and awaits officials who will extradite him to Texas. His next court hearing is on July 20.

Representatives for the rapper have yet to comment on the arrest.
