As June comes to a close, we round out our final selection of notable up and coming rappers making waves. Check out these artists and let us know who you like!

Artist: Juice WRLD

Track: All Girls All The Same

Hot Take: The 19-year old rapper has quickly made a name for himself with tracks like ‘Girls’ and ‘Lucid Dreams’ (both breaking into the Hot 100) which lends more to a melodic-trap sound. The Chicago native came up through SoundCloud and has a teen Kid Cudi angst-stripped sound in his raps about high school heartbreak with teenage earnestness.

Artist: LightSkinKeisha

Track: Treadmill

Hot Take: Comedian turned rapper LightSkinKeisha is the epitome of Atlanta. Bubbling for almost a year, her YouTube channel has been home to her comedy videos and now her original music. Her new track ‘Treadmill’ (accompanied by a colorful video) is the perfect summer in the city song to blast riding down 85. Period.

Artist: Kidd Kenn

Track: Focused (Remix)

Hot Take: The viral sensation has worked up quite a following with only two lead tracks and a slew of remixes out. Considered to be Chicago’s first openly gay drill rapper, Kenn broke new ground opening up for Kehlani this past Sunday for Pride Weekend.

Artist: Stockz

Track: 38 Special

Hot Take: The Houston-native and LA resident Stockz has been making music off and on since 2011. Recently making strides trending upward, Stockz co-headlined the Revolt/McDonald’s Local Love Tour with a number of popular artists including viral rapper Guapdad 4000. ’38 Special’ finds the rapper extrapolating on life and how what he once was is not who he is now.
