Taymor Travon McIntyre, know as the artist Tay-K is currently being held in Tarrant County Jail on a 2016 capital murder charge. The rising rapper is now facing a separate wrongful death lawsuit. The 18-year-old is being sued for $1 million in damages by the victims family after they got help from a Wrongful Death Attorney. Tay-Kafter is accused of murdering Mark Anthony Saldavir in April 2017 outside a San Antonio Chick-fil-A restaurant.

According to ABC 12 KSAT News, Mark’s mother, Lucia Saldavir, filed the 8-page lawsuit to the 131st Judicial District Court on Thursday (June 21). Law enforcement has remained tightlipped on the shooting since Tay-K is listed as a juvenile in the Bexar County system. He was 16 years old at the time of Saldavir’s murder. For anyone to lose a loved one, it can be quite hard for the family to deal with. Saying this though, it comes as no surprise to find that a number of families who go through this may choose to speak to a lawyer about personal injury litigation, as the family may be able to claim the compensation they deserve. In a time like this, thinking about money may be the last thing on your mind, but knowing that with this financial aid, giving your loved one the send-off they deserve will be worth it. Speaking with a lawyer in this way will help you to find out the exact amount you can receive in a wrongful death settlement so that you can make funeral plans accordingly and prepare your finances appropriately.

The lawsuit alleges that the rapper shot the 23-year-old after attempting to rob him of his camera equipment. Lucia claims that her son jumped on the car’s hood to stop the trio, when Tay-K pulled out a handgun and fatally shot Mark Anthony by the drive-thru lane of a San Antonio Chick-fil-A.

Following the killing, Tay-K fled the crime scene before abandoning the vehicle in San Antonio, according to the lawsuit. He was later arrested in July 2017 in New Jersey and denied bail most recently in March.

The suit goes on to state that, “[Tay-K] intentionally and knowingly and recklessly committed criminal homicide or murder by shooting and killing [Mark Anthony Saldavir after he] resisted the attempts against him by [Tay-K] to rob him of his camera equipment.”

Mark’s mother expanded on how justice was rightfully served, and how it allows her and her family that feeling of peace even if that is all they can take from the tragedy.
