Chart Preview: First Week Numbers For Beyoncé And JAY-Z’s ‘Everything Is Love’

A week has passed since The Carter’s released their surprise project ‘Everything Is Love‘ on June 16 and the numbers are finally here. According to a recent report published by Billboard, Beyoncé And JAY-Z’s collab album is set to debut at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart with Australian boy band, 5 Seconds of Summer claiming the top spot. The band earned an impressive 142,000 equivalent album units while The Carter’s racked up 123,000 units (70,000 in traditional sales).

In contrast, Beyoncé And JAY-Z’s previous albums (2016’s Lemonade) and (2017’s 4:44) debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. Their joint project, Everything Is Love was released exclusively through Tidal when it dropped and was made available through other audio streaming services on June 18. At the moment, the album is only available online and  hasn’t been released via. CD.

Other notable mentions on this week’s Billboard 200 charts is XXXTentacion. After his death, his album ? jumped 397 percent claiming the #3 spot with 94,000 units. Nas also scores his 12th Top 10 album this week moving 77,000 units (49,000 in traditional album sales) after releasing Nasir on June 15. His last album, Life Is Good debuted at #1 in 2012.
