Swizz Beatz Ex Mashonda & Alicia Keys Pen New Book About Co-Parenting

Often times, we witness celebrities go through ugly break-ups. Take Swizz Beatz and his ex Mashonda Tifrere.
In 2008, she accused the hip-hop producer of cheating on her with Alicia Keys and while, it’s been almost 10 years, things have finally cleared up between them.
In fact, Mashonda admits it was a question raised by her now 11-year-old son, Kasseem, which inspired her to rebuild her relationship with Swizz and the R&B singer.
“Six years ago, my five-year-old son asked me why his father and I didn’t like each other anymore,” she told People.com. “I realised that he was reacting to our lack of communication and unity as parents. It was a wake-up call.”
Almost a decade later and Moshanda is opening up about the trials and tribulations of raising a child with an ex in her upcoming book, Blend: The Secret to Co-Parenting and Creating a Balanced Family.
“Co-parenting and blending is a universal topic and many don’t know where to begin,” Moshanda explains. “This book will serve as the inspiration and blueprint that is needed to raise emotionally and mentally healthy children.”
“With a dedicated chapter for fathers written by Swizz and a heartfelt foreword penned by Alicia, the three of us are raising our voices to help generations of families worldwide,” the-40-year-old continues. “I’m certain that the book will become a toolbox for mindful parents all over the world.”
Co-parenting can be very challenging, especially if the relationship ends on a bad note. The challenges of co-parenting can often be overcome through counseling, if parents use parenting plan software, finding common middle ground or keeping contact to just the basics. This new book will hopefully be another tool separated parents can use to resolve their issues.
Moshanda took to Instagram to share the news of the book as she wrote:
