Rapper Tay-K is speaking out against Spotify’s new “hate content and hateful content” policy after his music was removed from their official playlists. On Thursday, the popular streaming service made headlines after it was announced that R&B singer R. Kelly’s music will no longer appear on their playlist algorithms, followed by Rapper XXXTentacion. Tay-K spoke out via. Twitter to air his frustrations with their decision.

“My songs have been removed from playlists because I’m being accused of something that I haven’t been convicted for,” he wrote in a tweet. “I don’t make hate music I rap about what goes on in every hood in America. I will never let a situation hold me back from what I believe in.”

The 17-year-old rapper is currently in prison awaiting trial for murder and robbery charges that stem from June 2016. Earlier this year, the rapper who rose to fame with the viral hit The Race was denied bond. While Tay-K, R. Kelly and XXXTentacion’s music is removed from Spotify’s official playlists, their music is still available on the music platform.frustrations.
