From Executive Producer Lee Daniels, PIMP is an indie film from writer-director Christine Crokos that looks at life through the eyes of women hustling on the streets of New York. At the center of this film is a love story between a female pimp named Wednesday played by Keke Palmer (STAR, Berlin Station) and her girlfriend Nikki played by Haley Ramm (The Originals) who both dream of a better life than the property stricken ones they have always known. Rapper, DMX (Cradle 2 The Grave) stars as Wednesday’s Father who is also a pimp , it is he who introduces her into the hustlers game at a very young age. Keke took to instagram to declare her excitement for the project’s release nearly 7 years in the making.

A lot of really cool things have happened this month, aside from music with another art love of mine….. FILM!! So excited to have had my movie PIMP play at The Tribeca Film Festival and I was so thrilled to have both my parents there to support me 😍!! The first feature I ever produced, started with this film at 18 and it’s just now being let out into the world in my 25th year!! Sometimes things take time but art is all about the passion/persistence you have in telling the stories that make you feel something.. especially the stories of humanity that are often left untold or half told. I’m excited for the world to meet Wednesday #PimpTheMovie
