Drake Nice For What No. 1

History is happening right before our eyes as Drake is on the brink of releasing his next studio album. Hard at work and highly anticipated, the rapper is currently two singles in, with the release of “God’s Plan” and his newly unleashed track, “Nice For What.”

Met with rave reviews and particularly loved by women, the empowerment anthem has struck a pleasant chord with many and has only raked in millions of streams since its release. Immediately accompanied by a music video that featured Issa Rae, Tiffany Haddish, Tracee Ellis Ross and more, Drake continues to dominate the Billboard Hot 100 as “Nice For What” has replaced the record-breaking “God’s Plan” at no. 1, as reported by Billboard.

Making history once again, Drake becomes the first artist to replace himself at no. 1 with a record that made its debut at the top spot in Billboard Hot 100 history. Furthermore, Drake currently has three songs in the top 5 of the Hot 100 with “Nice For What,” “God’s Plan” and BlocBoy JB’s “Look Alive” in which he is featured. He goes on to join 50 Cent, The Beatles, and Justin Bieber as the only artists to ever have 3 top 5 songs at once.

Slated to be taken from his forthcoming album, Scorpion, releasing in June 2018, this is shaping up to be Drake’s biggest era to date.
