Ten years may seem like a long time when you think of sharing your love with someone. But for the last ten years, Beyonce and Jay-Z have made it look easy. The Carters have became ‘relationship goals‘ to thousands of couples around the world. Both being the biggest influencers of their genre, they have easily expressed many of life’s lessons in  their respected discographies.

We’ve compiled a list of the top 10 collaborations from the power couple of hip-hop and r&b. With such a vast catalog, Mr & Mrs Carter have a record for any couple to relate to.

Crazy In Love

Released on May 18th, 2003, “Crazy In Love” let fans around the world know what kind of force Hov and Bey were way before their reign actually began. The lead single off of ‘Dangerously In Love‘ wasn’t the first collaboration for the couple. But it served as an introduction not just for Beyonce’s new solo career but to a long relationship between two of the best artists in the world.

Deja Vu

Deja Vu” was the lead single for Beyonce’s second album B’Day. The Darkchild-produced record was released on June 24th, 2006. The instrumental was filled with sounds to blend 70’s funk and soul music into one. It peaked at number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Kitty Kat

Although “Kitty Kat” isn’t a public collaboration between The Carters, it still counts being Jay-Z helped write the song. Jay-Z sitting behind the scenes with the pen is nothing new being he’s ghostwritten plenty of records. “Kitty Kat” appeared on the album B’Day and was produced by Pharrell Williams.

Upgrade U

Swizz Beatz teamed up with Beyonce, Sean Garrett, Solange and more to create the bouncy, heavy clap filled hit “Upgrade U.” Originally T.I. was supposed to be the featured artist but due to business reasons he was never able to record his verse. Therefore, Jay-Z was next in line to help his lady wrap up another single for her B’Day album.

Shining”

“Shining” was one of The Carters many surprises for 2017. The couple teamed up with DJ Khaled & Danja to produce a RIAA-certified Platinum hit for the ‘Grateful‘ album. PartyNextDoor flexes his writing skills for the legendary Beyonce after coming off a high for his success writing Rihanna’s “Work” & “Wild Thoughts.”

03 Bonnie & Clyde

03 Bonnie & Clyde” was the first surprise for many when it came to The Carters. Peaking at number four on the Us BIllboard Hot 100 charts, the Tupac-inspired record served as the lead single for Jay-Z’s seventh album The Blueprint 2: The Gift and The Curse in 2002. The Kanye West-produced single created a slight feud with Toni Braxton who felt Jay-Z had stole her idea of sampling the original Tupac record.

Part II (On The Run)

More than ten years later, Hov and Bey release a part two to their classic “03 Bonnie & Clyde” single. The slow tempo ballad, produced by Timbaland, served as a single for Jay-Z’s twelfth album, Magna Carta Holy Grail. It was nominated for the Grammys in 2014. A solo version featuring only Beyonce leaked online in 2013.

Drunk In Love

Drunk in Love” served as one of the two singles for Beyonce’s self-titled fifth album. Released on December 17th, 2013, the bass-filled record took over the airwaves peaking at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts. It won “Best R&B Song” & “Best R&B Performance” at the 57th Grammy Awards.

Family Feud

Produced by No I.D., “Family Feud” is a deeper look into Jay-Z’s personal life. Hov uses this 4:44 cut to open up and hint at some of his faults in the past. Recovering from a media frenzy due to the ‘elevator incident’ with Solange, Hov used his skills to channel all answers to the public through music. The song was nominated at the Grammys and was one of the highest charting singles off the album.

Hollywood”

“Hollywood” was the fourth single from Jay-Z’s album, Kingdom Come. The record was co-written by Jay-Z along with the producers Ne-Yo & Reggie Perry. A solo version was created and used for Beyonce’s B’Day (Deluxe Edition).
