Kodak Black is known to be explosive and real in his music. He consistently gives the streets catchy flows and infectious hooks but can’t avoid legal trouble. In January, police raided Kodak’s home and charged him with seven charges including grand theft of a firearm, ammunition by a felon, possession of marijuana, and child neglect as well as probation violation charges, via The Spin. Since his last court date, three of the charges have been dropped.

While serving time, Kodak was smacked with solitary confinement after he participated in an unauthorized three-way call. The sanction was not for the content of the call but solely for the call itself.  Kodak’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, told to Billboard, “In my 21 years of practice, I’ve never had someone get 30 days solitary for a 3 way call.”

Kodak has since been released from solitary confinement and came out to a pleasant surprise. Chris Brown reportedly dropped $10,000 on his books. He took to Twitter to thank Chris:

Kodak still has to fight charges for possession of marijuana and possession of ammunition, per Hot New Hip Hop. We’ll keep you updated on the case.
