In 2017, French Montana paid homage to Uganda in his “Unforgettable” video featuring Swae Lee. The inspiration came from Uganda’s Triplets Ghetto Kids and his parents, who are originally from North Africa. The South Bronx native invited kids and residents to dance in the streets as the video was recorded. After donating $100K to the Mama Hope Foundation, French was recognized as Hip Hop’s first Global Citizen Ambassador and “Unforgettable” scored 647 million streams.

His philanthropic efforts have emerged into a staple of the Ugandan community. French, along with help from Diddy and The Weeknd, partnered with the Mama Hope Foundation to fund the “Suubi Health Clinic.” TMZ reports, that the  building is “up and running, equipped to take care of 300,000 people.”

“Thanks to French Montana, The Weeknd, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Ciroc, construction on the new building started right away,” notes Mamahope.org, via Complex.

Denis Muwanguzi, a rep from the hospital praises French on keeping his word. Check out the post here:
