JAY-Z isn’t just all talk, but he’s also about his action. Inspiring in many areas of his life and career, the Hip-Hop legend’s drive to give back and using his star power for the better good is more than commendable.

Lending his time and support to the family of Trayvon Martin, who unfortunately had his life taken away 6 years ago, the mogul has teamed with Parmount Network to tell Trayvon’s story in an upcoming 6-part television series event. This news comes just after the 4:44 chart-topper attended the 6th Annual Trayvon Martin Peace Walk last month.

Paramount Network has teamed up with executive producer Shawn Carter for a landmark television event, “Rest In Power: The Trayvon Martin Story,” based on the life and legacy of Trayvon Martin. The six-part non-scripted documentary series will be the definitive look at one of the most talked-about and controversial events in the last decade that spurred the impactful worldwide “Black Lives Matter” movement.

Based off of the book, “Rest In Power: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin,” by his parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, this emotional story will premiere in July on the Paramount Network.

An unfortunate story, but one that will go on to further touch touch many lives, we will surely be tuned in for this powerful showing when it airs.
