Recap: Gucci Mane, ScHoolboy Q, Migos & More Shut Down Rolling Loud SoCal 2017

All of America’s current favorite Hip-Hop stars reunited in Southern California to close out 2017 with one of the best music festivals to date. Rolling Loud SoCal took place this past weekend and was full of epic headliners all across two days and three stages.
At the NOS Events Center in San Berndandino, the lineup was headlined by ScHoolboy Q, Future, Migos, Gucci Mane, and so much more.The curators of Rolling Loud set up this festival to finish with a bang set up by the biggest headliners of the festival. The festival was slated to be filled with electrifying acts.
Maryland-based rapper, IDK kicked things off for the next few hours on Saturday, Dacember 17th. His pure energy was felt from beginning to end with songs like “17 with a 38,” “Maryland AssN**gas,” “Pizza Shop,” and “I’m Very Bad.”

Next up was Lil Yachty who was to be at Rolling Loud. This was the Teenage Emotions rapper’s third time at the festival, and he went harder than the time before that. Dressed in a Los Angles Kings hockey shirt, Lil Boat rapped through a microphone with a screen at the bottom, giving the crowd his greatest hits, including “One Night,” “Minnesota,” “Ice Water” and “iSpy,” featuring Kyle.
Playboi Carti electrified the crowd when he performed, “Magnolia”. Playboi Carti was then followed by Atlanta Trap King, Gucci Mane who set up the stage for Migo. Gucci’s performance leading to Migos was symbolic and similar to a passing of the torch moment. Migos then hyped up the crowd by performing their day one hit “Hannah Montana,” “Kelly Price,” and “Slippery.”
The rest of Saturday featured the more universal artists of the two days. Zoey Dollaz brought the Miami flavor with an exciting set, performing his “Post and Delete.” IDK gave a really fun show for the handful of people that took the time to see him at the Sauce Stage.
RJ held it down for the City of Angels later on the stage, rocking a fur coat, but had his set shut down early, which resulted in a little scuffle. Jaden Smith wowed with his smooth moonwalk, and Young Dolph made quite the statement as he arrived to Rolling Loud SoCal in an ambulance which took fans back to his shooting incident earlier this year.
One of the most touching moments at Rolling Loud SoCal was when the music festival paid tribute to Lil Peep. The young rapper was scheduled to perform this past weekend but unfortunately passed away last month due to an overdose at the age 21. Lil Peep fans and those around raised their peace signs up in the air, as pink balloons were let go in honor of his memory.

Shortly after, the intensity increased when rap’s purple haired monster, Lil Uzi Vert, took to the stage and how the crowd going ballistic and finishing off his performance by jumping on top of the speakers and benches to reach fans.
The night was then closed by one of the best performers of our generation, ScHoolboy Q who started his performance with the right energy. The TDE affiliate then asked the audience if they were Oxymoron fans as he continued with “Man of the Year,” “Collard Green,” “Studio,” “Dope Dealer, “Hands on the Wheel,” “Yay Yay,” and more.
