Earlier this week, news broke that Jay-Z had written the lead single off The Chronic 2001, “Still D.R.E.” Shortly after, hip-hop journalist Elliott Wilson took to Twitter to share a 2-minute clip where Snoop Dogg explainED how he used Dr. Dre’s “Still D.R.E.” to test the crowd at shows.
“I was a part of that sh*t man. I was one of those n***as in there trying to write the rap. ‘Get out of here that sh*t wack,’ D.O.C. ‘Get outta here that sh*t ain’t right, Snoop said.” Snoop also went on to say Jay-Z came through and wrote the verses quickly, including the lines that Snoop said on the track.
