UPDATE: According to TMZ, Nelly’s lawyer says that after his initial investigation, he can conclude that this story and case is completely fabricated. Here’s his statement:

“Nelly is the victim of a completely fabricated allegation. Our initial investigation, clearly establishes the allegation is devoid of credibility and is motivated by greed and vindictiveness. I am confident, once the scurrilous accusation is thoroughly investigated, there will be no charges. Nelly is prepared to pursue all all legal avenues to redress any damage caused by this clearly false allegation.”

Nelly has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman, TMZ reports.

According to reports, the alleged incident occurred early this morning (October 7th) on the rapper’s tour bus in Washington, and was arrested on second degree rape charges at around 7am.

This also isn’t Nelly’s first run in with the law. In 2015, the Grammy Award winning rapper was arrested in Tennessee on felony drug charges, while in 2012, authorities discovered marijuana, heroin and a loaded gun on his tour bus at a border patrol checkpoint in Texas.
