Diddy JAY-Z Forbes Highest Paid Hip Hop Artists 2017

In line with the several years before it, Forbes has unleashed the list of artists who brought in millions of dollars over the course of the past year. An indicator of which artists have been putting in hard work, whether it was due to new albums, tours, endorsements, and/or anything else they could be involved with, the proof is in of just how much money they’ve earned in a year’s time.

Comprised of earnings from June 2016 through June 2017, it’s Diddy who takes the no. 1 spot with $130 million. This whopping total is due to the rapper’s widely successful Ciroc Vodka, Bad Boy Reunion Tour, and interestingly enough, the selling of his Sean John clothing line for approximately $70 million. Up next, Drake comes in at no. 2 with $94 million and JAY-Z pulled in an impressive $42 million, which doesn’t include his latest 4:44 album and accompanying tour. Other artists like J. Cole, Kanye West, Lil Yachty, and Nicki Minaj, who is the only woman who made the list, all pulled in at least $11 million from June 2016 to June 2017.

With Hip Hop currently being the most popular genre in the United States, there’s no surprise that these acts are taking home the big bucks by the millions. As 2017 comes to a close, we’ll see just who makes 2018’s list. Check out the full list of artists and just how much they earned, here.
