Some of you may still sleep but Rapsody is definitely holding her own among the women who are ruling rap. The North Carolina representative makes her Roc Nation debut, in association with Jamla Records, with her new album Laila’s Wisdom.

Over the course of the album’s 14 tracks, Rapsody shows that she can hold her own as rappers like Kendrick Lamar, Black Thought and Busta Rhymes appear alongside her and show that she can blend with the soul assistance of BJ the Chicago Kid, Musiq Soulchild and Anderson .Paak.
