In case you didn’t know, this week kicks off ‘Global Citizen’s Week.’ A week not only for the United Nations to meet for their annual leaders’ meeting, but a chance for celebrities, social activists, civilians, and more to join in on conferences and concerts to show our leaders that the movement for freedom, justice, and equality has never been stronger.

Just days before the annual festival for the social campaign platform, Epic Records recording artist, French Montana, was invited to the New York Stock Exchange alongside the Global Citizen organization to ring the NYSE opening bell to kick off ‘Global Citizen’s Week.’

As he continues to promote his ‘#Unforgettable campaign,’ the Bronx native had a speaking engagement at ‘Global Citizen Live! Uganda Health Moment’ last night (Sept. 19), where he was joined by Ugandan health worker and advocate, Denis Muwanguzi, Ugandan Member of Parliament, Bobi Wine, to explain his #Unforgettable health campaign to others and discuss his current initiatives to help families in Uganda.

“In partnership with Mama Hope, since French’s initial donation of $100,000 to Suubi ‘Hope’ Health Center, the cause has delivered 321 babies, vaccinated 1,667 children, and provided antenatal health care to over 1,640 women,” according to a press release.

The Global Citizen’s Festival will take place September 23rd in New York City with Stevie Wonder (and special guests), Green Day, The Killers, The Lumineers & The Chainsmokers serving at this year’s headliners.
