Day 2 (Saturday, September 9th) of the Day N Night Festival provided once again several reasons for thousands of fans to brave the heat as they mainly waited for the main headliner of the day, Chance the Rapper.

Among the first of the afternoon was Playboi Carti, who didn’t even need his microphone to rally the main stage. Playboi’s energy was to the top when he performed songs like “Looking,” “wokeuplikethis*,” and “Magnolia,” which he took to the crowd for a victory lap and allowed the fans to finish the song for him.

As for SZA, it’s safe to say that she’s had one incredible year, and her time at Day N Night confirmed that and much more. From “Drew Barrymore” to “Doves in the Wind,” the crowd was chanting every single word. TDE’s first lady performed several other songs from her Ctrl album, and also took us back with one of her older songs “Hiiijack.”

Back at the Postmates stage, it was time for Post Malone to showcase his talent with songs like “White Iverson,” “Congratulations,” “Candy Paint,” “Too Young,” “I Fall Apart,” and his instrumentation to “Go Flex.”

Continuing Day 2, Lil Uzi Vert challenged the conventional idea of a Hip-Hop show and instantly called for mosh pits during his set. His opener, “Sauce It Up,” created the energy, as he carried the show with “P’s and Q’s,” “Money Longer” and “You Was Right.” He then closed out his performance with “XO Tour Life,” as he celebrated having one of the top albums right now.

By 9:30pm, the main act of the night was upon us and that was Chance the Rapper. The Chicago rapper opened up his set with “Mixtape” followed by more Coloring Book cuts including “Blessings,” “Angels,” and “Zero Problems.” Half way through his set, Chance even tipped his hat to fellow Chi native Kanye West by performing “Waves.”
