MTV Releases Nominations for 2017 VMAs

The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards are set to go down in Los Angeles on August 27 and today the nominations have revealed with California’s own Kendrick Lamar leading the way with eight nominations. The TDE emcee is up for Video of the Year for the “HUMBLE” video among others categories.

Alongside Kendrick, The Weeknd, Bruno Mars and DJ Khaled are receiving multiple nominations while the Best New Artist category is heavy in hip-hop and R&B featuring Khalid, Kodak Black, Young M.A. and SZA.
