One DJ in particular, who has mastered his art and paved the way for many others, is the legendary Steve Aoki.

Steve Aoki is a globally known electro house musician, producer, DJ, and music executive. You may know him for being the DJ with long black hair that throws cake and gives champagne baths to thousands of wild festival goers. But beyond that, Steve is a pioneer for the modern day “DJ” and his transition from house parties to global stages is nothing short of impressive.

This Friday (July 21), Steve is set to release his 4th studio album Kolony and for this go round, he’s not holding back one bit. Continuing to bridge the gap between EDM and Hip-Hop, Steve called on the likes of Gucci Mane, Migos, Lil Yachty, Lil Uzi Vert, 2 Chainz, Wale and more.

We recently spoke with the mega star about his new album and what fans can expect from it, his Aoki Foundation and his involvement in brain research, his Japanese roots, why money shouldn’t be the goal, his legacy and much more.
