Back when Latasha Alcindor was featured in our Civil Scope she was fresh off the release of her B(LA)K project and less than six months later delivered a different experience in Teen Nite at Empire. The project is about flourishing as a woman of color creatively while watching her environment change drastically because of gentrification and channels the name from a famed Brooklyn skating rink. The latest offering from the EP is the video for “Don’t Be Mad.”
