Today (July 5), Lil Wayne gifted his fans with a four piece of new tunes in the surprise EP, In Tune We Trust. On the business side of music, headlines are getting hot as well now that Weezy F has included Birdman to his $40 million Cash Money lawsuit. The Hollywood Reporter details the lawsuit has stretched to also include Universal Music Group and Cash Money co-owner Slim.

“Lil Wayne claims that Cash Money has been debt-ridden and persistently undercapitalized, unable to pay him the $8 million advance on ‘Tha Carter V’ and the huge profits that should be flowing in from the success of Young Money,” the amended petition to the suit states.

The lawsuit also details unhappiness from the delay of the release of Tha Carter V and a want toward money for Drake and Nicki Minaj stating, “through his agreements, Lil Wayne claimed partial ownership and profits from those artists.”

We’ll see how this case will play out in court. In the meantime be sure to check In Tune We Trust here.
