Things just went from serious, to detrimental for Ja Rule and the organizers behind the failed Fyre Festival.

According to ABC News, lawyer Mark Geragos – who has previously represented Chris Brown, Michael Jackson and more – has filed a class action $100 million lawsuit against Ja Rule and the organizers of Fyre Festival. The suit claims, among many things, that the festival was “nothing more than a get-rich-quick scam from the very beginning.”

The suit that’s been thrown at Ja Rule, Billy McFarland, and Fyre Media is on behalf of Daniel Jung and several other Fyre Fest attendees, who claim that there wasn’t “adequate food, water, shelter, and medical care” that led to folks being stranded on the island.

Another interesting part of the lawsuit is them stating that the island where the event was supposed to take place wasn’t actually previously owned by Pablo Escobar as promoted by Fyre Fest.

Since the whole debacle last weekend, Ja Rule has publicly apologized and Ben McFarland – the Fyre Fest guru – says the event will be postponed until 2018 where attendees who have already bought tickets will be able to come for free.

That is…if this lawsuit doesn’t tank them first.
