San Francisco rapper Larry June credited Parliament Funkadelic as one of the strongest influences when making his 6-track Larry Two EP, and it may be most evident on the K Fisha-produced stand-out “4DEEP.”

The syrupy synths on the song’s chorus enhance the bouncy bass swings, as the fast-evolving 25-year-old artist reminisces on his come up in the game while acknowledging the roles played by the people around him.

“With this video we really wanted to capture some Bay Area history and continue the yellow bus movement that inspired me coming up in the city,” Larry June told XXL. “The track has a real G-Funk swing to it, and for the video I invited some of the homies like Nef The Pharaoh to join us to turn up one time.”
