Not too long ago wifisfuneral shared with us about his rising career and his latest release Black Heart Revenge in our Civil Scope series and now after a packed SXSW weekend, he announces his signing to Interscope/Alamo Records.

The big news punctuated the South Floridian’s time in SXSW and has received his deal with Todd Moscowitz’s new label venture as a birthday gift.  wifisfuneral announced the news on Instagram in the midst of taking over seven stages over the course of five days at the Austin, Texas music takeover.

“We’ve been working for a long time to get to this point,” said wifisfuneral’s manager, Tariq Cherif. “When I first started managing wifisfuneral he had 2,000 followers and less than 100,000 streams. Now, 20 million+ streams and 100,000 followers later, we have found the right partners in Todd Moscowitz and Joie Manda at Interscope to take wifi’s career to the next level while maintaining his artistic integrity.”
