SXSW is currently underway and this year, while not quite as exciting as year’s past, is still shaping up to be a memorable year on the music side. Especially after last night’s “Live At The BBQ” SXSW Takeover event put on by Mass Appeal.

The event was headlined by none other than Lil Wayne, who gave us quite a memorable set. From some of his newer tracks, to his classic mixtape cuts including “Sky’s The Limit,” “Wasted (Remix)” and more, Weezy reminded the whole audience why he’s one of the best to ever do it.

Towards the end of his set, he performed his verse from “No Problems” and had a heartfelt message for the crowd:

“I want to tell everyone in this crowd something important,” Wayne quietly said to the crowd. “For anyone who thinks I’m down, or thinks I’m losing myself, never that. There’s too much good p**sy in this universe and too many of you loyal fans to care about no bullshit Birdman shit.”

Wayne also introduced us to a handful of new artists who performed tracks of their own. Safe to say Young Money’s prospering despite the current legal battles.

Before Weezy touched the stage, we got to see lights out performances from Dave East, A. Boogie wit Da Hoodie (who brought out PnB Rock), Denzel Curry, Rapsody and more. With a ton of great events last night, Mass Appeal came through with one of the more memorable shows of the evening.

Check out a handful of pics and clips below.

Wayne just destroyed #SXSW! Performed all the classics. Legend doesn't begin to describe this dude.
