Chance The Rapper Donates 1 Million Dollars to Chicago Public Schools

After meeting with Illinois governor Bruce Rauner last week to discuss the city’s public school system, Chance The Rapper took to Instagram today (March 6th) to announce that he would be holding a press conference this afternoon on the South Side of Chicago.
Making his way to Wescott Elementary School, Chance shared the news that he’ll be donating $1 million to Chicago Public Schools.
During the conference, he went into details to say that all this was made possible thanks to his fans, his upcoming tour sales, and other tickets publication such as Ticketmaster and Live Nation.
The Grammy Award winner also stated that for every $100,000 raised for his not-for-profit, $10,000 to a different Chicago public school.
Chance called this press conference an action and a challenge to all of Chicago to help invest in its students and their future.
