Consequence & Royce 5’9″ Team Up On ‘All Black Neighborhood’
by Staff Editor
Consequence shows his black pride in “All Black Neighborhood.”
While there is so much negativity assumed about most black neighborhoods, Consequence took it upon him to show that it’s not all bad in the hood. Even though there are those who still dream of making it out, home is where the heart is and that’s something the New Yorker will always take pride in.
“I want my kids to grow up in an all black neighborhood
Meaning that nobody’s in the red and the paper’s good
Next to doctors, lawyers, that coach for the Hoyas
Maybe stockholders fro Goya”
The jazzy instrumentals in the track translated well with the “black unity” message Royce spit in his verse. Not to mention the work community activists take to bring street gangs together to do better for society.
